Some days just feel like they move in an oversaturated haze, lately it's been like that more or less. (I've never realized how hard it is to photograph red velvet, mind you.)

I found this charming abandoned fairest-wheel outside of the city a few weeks ago. It was juxtaposed next to a corn field and the very 1950's Disney drawings on the seats added to its eerie tragedy of being this old forgotten beautiful thing.

"I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers" - Lucy Maud Montgomery

Although it is now November and things suddenly smell different, October is still lurking somewhere in me because it has always been my favourite month (although November trails not far behind it). These pictures are a little archive of what October was this year, mostly expeditions to uncover faeries (or perhaps becomes them?) in musky dark weather.

At the beginning

Carry stars in your head and your bound to start sprouting constellations of your own making. Longer nights means more beacons of glitter above you, to hold on too, or something else perhaps as celestial to give meaning to your ceremonial dances with the sky.

The challenge of a new blog is how to go about initiating it. Does one simply divulge into it as though it is project that has been apart of you for who knows how long (which permits the act of posting to become a carefree and easy second nature) or does one stammer on awkward introductions and absorb all the self-consciousness that comes with the newness of things.

I don't know. I don't know. I wanted a space to record things that were happening around me and in me and everything in between. This is the result or shall be the result. We shall see. Hello.
